During times such as these, we as believers must cling to one another. Have there been days of darkness? Days of fear? Anxious thoughts? Absolutely!
But God is calling each one of us into the Light! We must not let the ways of this world overcome us. He has promised us life with Him, for we are His temple.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18
“…As God has said:
‘I will live with them
and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they will be my people.’
Therefore,
‘Come out from them
and be separate,
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you.’
And,
‘I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.’
Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.”

Now I’m not sure about you, but these promises give me comfort. To know that He walks beside me, has chosen me as His daughter, and lives WITH me brings such peace during times of such uncertainty.
But, do you see the final “therefore” statement? He has freely given us these promises, but there is action to be done on our part to truly receive His Peace.
We are called to purify ourselves from the things that contaminate our body and our spirit. I’m thinking there’s no better time than now to ask God what in my life needs His specific attention.
Our fast pace lifestyles have come to an almost immediate stop, and I have allowed anxiety and fears from the world to take hold of my thoughts and reek havoc on my body.
God is asking us as believers to respond differently from the world, in a way that shows others that this is not our home. And if I’m honest, my initial response was one clouded by the world instead of rooted in Him.
Each day we have a choice. How will I respond today?
Friends, if you are overwhelmed or feeling afraid, make turning to His Word a priority. Plug in virtually with Christ’s community. If you need an ear to listen, I am here.
