Which Voice Will You Listen To?

Matthew 28:19-20

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

While I have worked to create an inviting space for us to gather and encourage each other, I’m still not sure where God wants all of this to go. I feel a stirring and passion in my heart so I have to believe that I am moving in a direction confirmed by God…..

But then there’s a small voice in the back of my mind trying to take hold. It poses things like: Why do you think you can do this? You have no idea how to really manage a blog much less launch a ministry. You have zero formal theological training. Why you?

And then there’s a much BIGGER voice that is calling me beyond the whisper. God says this: Go and make disciples of MINE. Depend on Me to live a life worthy of Christ even when you fall short or don’t have the answers…because you will and you don’t. This ministry isn’t yours or about you, but rather it is MINE that I am doing through you. Have confidence in Me.

So although I don’t know where this journey leads me, I will go. Where in your life are you listening to something other than God’s Voice? Are you allowing Him the space to speak? Where is God calling you to GO or where is He stirring your heart?
